Koncern ogłosił, że trzeci tydzień z rzędu urządzenia z rodziny Kindle sprzedają się w liczbie znacząco przewyższającej granicę 1 mln sztuk. Najpopularniejszy w całej ofercie e-sklepu jest tablet Kindle Fire.
"To wyjątkowy przypadek, aby Amazon dzielił się tak dokładnymi danymi dotyczącymi sprzedaży jego urządzeń. Jednocześnie firma nie ujawnia konkretnych statystyk dla tabletu Kindle Fire oraz poszczególnych modeli e-czytników Kindle.
Amazon podaje, że zaprezentowany jedenaście tygodni wcześniej Kindle Fire cały czas utrzymuje pozycję najlepiej sprzedającego się produktu w ofercie internetowego sklepu, a sprzedaż tabletu rośnie z tygodnia na tydzień" - czytamy w serwisie Wirtualnemedia.pl.
Rodzina Kindle obejmuje e-czytniki Kindle (w cenie 79 dolarów), Kindle Touch (99 dolarów) i Kindle Touch 3G (149 dolarów) oraz tablet Kindle Fire (199 dolarów).

| Hey Aaron, The previous post from TheTruth has a cluope things wrong.1. You can store your own content on the Amazon cloud. I have several ripped mp4 movies, my entire mp3 library, and thousands of pictures on my amazon cloud already. Amazon gives you 5gs of free storage that is non amazon content. Right now they will give you a free 20g account for a year too. It is only $20 dollars a year after that. That gives you 26 gigs of storage of non Amazon content. Plus unlimited storage of anything you purchase from Amazon. Amazon also has the lowest prices on content too. Much cheaper than the itunes store.2.The battery is supposed to last 8 hours without the use of wifi. The 3 hours reported by TheTruth is simply not true. I would guess it would be closer to 6 hours or so like most devices of similar size, but that info has not been released yet.3. Amazon Silk browser does have some privacy concerns, but Amazon assures privacy advocates that the data it does capture is completely anonymized and that it cannot be linked to an individual or Amazon user account. You can also turn the Silk feature off if you don't want its super fast browsing capability. They have also said that the Silk browser will be even more secure than most mobile browsers out there.4. I am sure if you have to root your fire you will able too. It will take the XDA developers probably less than a week to figure it out.5. I have a camera on my phone what idiot takes pictures with their ipad anyway?6. Yes the screen is smaller, but it is much more portable and lighter than an ipad. you can easily hold it with just one hand or even put it in a coat pocket. Try reading a book on your ipad in bed for a cluope hours good luck. Everyone one I see with an ipad has it sitting in their lap or on a desk/table. Isn't that what Laptops are for?7. There are several apps already on amazon market that will read epubs and eBooks.8. Netflix has already expressed interest in creating an app for the amazon app store and already has one for the android market, so netflix will happen sooner than later. There are even rumors that it will be ready by the Nov 15th launch. You honestly won't need netflix soon though with Amazon's constantly growing video store. With the Amazon prime membership you get over a 100,000 free movies and tvs shows. Amazon will give a free month of prime with the purchase of a kindle fire and it is only $80 a year after that (Much cheaper than a netflix subscription) Plus you get free 2 day shipping with a prime membership and Amazon sells everything you could ever want!9.The outside the US thing is true for now, but this is the case for lots of devices.10. Most of what he said here about apps is true, but am glad that amazon is taking the time to review its apps and remove malicious ones. The android market lets any crappy app through. Most apps that require bluetooth, microphones, etc already work great on my Phone! This device is for consuming media .books, movies, magazines, tv shows, pictures, games etc.11. The nook 2 is going to have to print money almost to keep up with the fire. My wife has a Nook Color and their app store is horrendous not to mention way over priced. There are like 10 free apps. They also don't have any video media only books and magazines. Even if the device is superior it has no way of keeping up with Amazon's superior lower priced content. I hope this helps. I myself have been waiting around for an affordable 7 inch tablet. I feel that the ipad is a great device. It is made by apple so that alone makes me want one, but with a starting price of $500 I have resisted buying it. I already have an imac that does things like video editing and word processing a lot better. Most people have ipads to surf the web, watch movies, and play games. The kindle fire will do all of these things, but for less than half the price of an ipad. The fire has very similar specs to the ipad were it counts like processor speed and ram. I look forward to seeing what the nook has to offer, but I have a feeling I will be one of the millions purchasing the kindle fire this holiday season. |
